February Update

February was a very busy month in our classroom. Each week we worked on a different theme. The first week of the month was spent learning about dental health. We even had a visit from the dentist on February 8th. The second week of February we learned about two important presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. The third week of the month was a celebration of the 100th Day of Kindergarten. Can you believe that we have passed the 100-day mark? Time is flying by! The last week of February we did an author study on Dr. Seuss. We read fifteen books by Dr. Seuss. We focused on characters and events in the stories as we read and responded to each book.  The children are making wonderful progress, as they become readers and writers.
